Hi, I'm Andy, and I'm happy you're here.
I'm an average guy with a day job that keeps me from my passions of exploring the outdoors with my family, photography, and writing stories.
A few years ago, I decided to combine business with pleasure and bought a fancy camera to take on business trips. That camera has paid for itself many times over, as it's forced me to get out of the hotel room (and way from my other passion: bourbon) and into nature. I've seen much more of the world than I used to because of that DSLR.
I'm an avid hiker as well and have set out to hike the Appalachian Trail to honor the memory of an old friend. Restricted by job commitments and a scarcity of vacation days, I've settled for one week and 100 miles per year. At this pace, I'll complete the journey in 2040. Maybe you'll join me on an upcoming Ryan P. Ginther Memorial Hike or make a donation to the worthy nonprofit we support.
I hope you'll enjoy the photos, stories, and resources while you're here. Thank you for visiting.
